【Announcement】Online Class Observation for Graduate School (ELT?GCP)
The English Language Teaching Practices program (ELT) and Global Communication Practices program (GCP) of the Graduate School will hold an Online Class Observation for the public.
? We would like you to experience classes based on “Bridging theory and practice” by observing the actual classes conducted for AIU graduate students online (Zoom). We are now accepting applications, so if you are considering to apply to the graduate school, this will be a great opportunity to gather more information.
?ELT and GCP will conduct two types of classes as follows. Please note that you cannot participate in the same class on multiple dates.

Topics introduced include but are not limited to qualitative data collection methods (e.g., interview, observation), quantitative data collection skills (e.g., survey, quantitative content analysis, experimental research), various forms of sampling, research ethics, and so on. The class also provides students with opportunities to learn how to interpret qualitative interview data and analyze quantitative data using statistical software. |

| Course Description | Public relations (PR) refers to corporations’ strategic communication process to build and sustain relationships with customers and prospects to promote awareness and sales of their brands and products. In this class, students will learn theories and principles of PR, and acquire practical knowledge of its elements (e.g., media relations, press release, risk management, crisis communication, non-profit PR, government PR, etc.). Students will also learn other forms of marketing communications such as advertising, product placement, event sponsorship, digital marketing to experience a more holistic picture of public relations. |
