Application Timeline
This is the application process for admission to Akita International University’s Semester / Year program. Please make sure that you fully understand the whole process before you apply.
Only nominated students should complete the application described below. To be nominated, please reach out to your home university.
Please log in to your account in the AIU Online Application Portal regularly so that you can check important information about the progress of your application, such as which application materials AIU has received and whether AIU has made a decision on your admission.

Next steps for Accepted Students
Accepted students will be required to complete the following steps. (Please note that the required forms will be available on your AIU Online Application Portal account after you are accepted.)

| Online Medical Information Form | by May 10 | by December 10 | *After submitting the online form, print out all three parts and take the paper form to a doctor for completion. |
| Medical Information Form (Part I, II and III) | by June 15 | by January 15 | *Completed form, including Part II completed by a doctor, and Part III by parent/guardian/next-of-kin, must be submitted by email. |
